Liverpool
Situated about 25 miles NE of Chester, the City of Liverpool is within easy reach. It is located on the River Mersey, has a great seafaring history and the Liver buildings with the Liverbird on top has been a famous first landfall for many visitors to this country. The City has many attractions including 2 cathedrals, museums, 2 football.teams Everton and Liverpool and it is of course the birthplace of the Beatles. It is connected to Birkenhead by the "Ferry Cross the Mersey" made famous in the sixties song. Liverpool is reached quite easily from Chester by Merseyrail .
